All Bloggers absolutely need a Google Account. (Period!)
OK, let’s get right down to the nitty gritty.
In the event you are slowly making your way into the blogging world, I wanted to let you know that you really need to open a Google account. Your Google account will grant you access to a whole new set of free and powerful Google tools.
Now listen to me for a quick moment before you run off and sign up for your new Google account…
It’s very important to choose your user name wisely. You will NOT be able to change this again.
If you are a business, entrepreneur, or a blogger the same concept applies to all of you. Your user name will go with you everywhere across all Google tools and services. Although your first and last name will be used across all of the tools it’s still important to choose a user name that will never get old for you.
Put it this way, just because you are blogging at a xyz blog today or started xyz business does not mean that 6 months down the road you will still want to be known under that name…
When creating your Google account you will be asked to choose a user name and also for your first and last name. From a business perspective you will wonder whose name should be used to create the Master Google account. This is important. Please choose someone who will always be with the company. The founder, the business owner, etc.
Since this Google account will be used to start Google services like Youtube, Google+, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Gmail, etc the account must belong to a key point person within the company.
You do not want to find out later that the guy you fired a few weeks ago was the only one who could access The Google Account, would you?
Of course not. That would be a complete disaster. All of the YouTube views would be gone. All of the people in your circles would be gone. If you were unable to gain control back of that Google account a lot of your online presence could be at stake.
I speak from experience. I have seen this scenario play out a few too many times.
Now go ahead and create your New Google Account – and then come on back and take quick peek at a few of the key Google Tools that you will want to use throughout your blogging journey.
